With graduation just around the corner and many of us seniors getting ready to toss our caps and fly from the nest, it is important that we make the most of our last few weeks here at St. Joe’s. This is a great chance to attend events, further explore Philly with friends or try something you’ve always wanted to try.
Since spring is here, there are more hours of sunlight in the afternoon, so, make the most of this! Play some frisbee, work on a project outside or explore Center City on the weekend. You could go see an exhibit at the Franklin Institute, try a gyro at the Reading Terminal Market or go to a Philadelphia Phillies game. Whatever you can do to add a little magic to your week, do it.
This is also a time to reflect on your experiences at St. Joe’s. I encourage you to look back at the moments when you felt so proud, like getting a great grade on a test or joining a club and realizing the positive impact it had on you. Looking at photos from the past four years can be a fun way to do this, too! You could make a photo album of your favorite pictures from St. Joe’s and get your friends to sign it at the end.
So, seniors, after you toss your cap way up in the sky on graduation day, what happens next? What’s next is getting to choose what we put our minds and hearts to. Whether that is working, continuing our education or even starting a business. What is going to be your next adventure? Just know that you are ready for what is to come. Just like you were when you graduated high school, and now college.
Whatever it is you do during this last bit of the school year, I hope the seniors, and everyone else at St. Joe’s, have a great finish to the year!
