I’d say simply thank you for being you.

Who would you consider to be a role model to you and then how have they impacted you?
I would say my role model for the past couple of years was Dr. Becki Scola. I asked her if she had any spots left to become a research assistant for her even though she already had a [one] under her wing. She took me under as well and I am forever grateful for it because I wouldn’t be where I am today without her and I think she’s prepared me very well.

What does it mean to be a role model to you?
Anyone who has something that they’re passionate about and is able to share that with others and guide them and facilitate them. Those who also share the same passion in ways that they can mentor them and be there for them and not [just] instruct them [in] what to do, but inspire them.

Who would you consider to be a role model to you and then how have they impacted you?
My mom because of all that she’s done for us: my siblings, my family, my dad, her siblings and her parents. Just all she’s done for others and how she raised us and what she’s taught us and how she helps us.
