Smoothies are a popular beverage because of the versatility they offer. They can consist of fruits, vegetables, milk, yogurt and many other delicious foods. Mixing and matching different ingredients can lead to unique and tasty flavor combinations. They can be chocolatey, fruity or tart, all for the purpose of satisfying those with a sweet tooth. The four places on this list offer a great variety of green, fruit, chocolate and other kinds of smoothies.
Wawa – Various Locations
Price: About $5
Wawa is a reliable option for hoagies, coffee and much more. Among the things that the chain makes well are smoothies. There are three Wawa locations within two miles of Hawk Hill, so you have several options as to which one you can go to.
If you’re craving a late night smoothie, the Wawas at 139 Belmont Ave. and 801 Conshohocken State Road are open 24 hours. There is also a Wawa at 3724-3744 Spruce St., only 0.6 miles from the University City campus, which is open 24 hours.
Wawa offers fruit smoothies you can customize to include oat milk or yogurt. In all of those options, there are 10 combinations available, including strawberry banana, blueberry pomegranate and mixed berry. You have the option of whether or not to add whipped cream. If you’re grabbing a hoagie or snack from Wawa, it is certainly worth an extra few dollars to pick up a smoothie while you are there.
According to Adam Sanin ’23, Wawa is a great option because of its cost and convenience.
“I like Wawa smoothies because they are quick and easy to get and relatively cheap in comparison to most places that upcharge for everything,” Sanin said. “The blueberry pomegranate is
my favorite.”
