Dr. Malika Grayson is the founder of STEMinist Empowered LLC, an organization focused on empowering women of color in pursuit of graduate degrees “through graduate mentorship and personal statement reviews.” In her book, “Hooded: A Black Girl’s Guide to the Ph.D.,” she offers personal accounts of her time as a doctoral candidate in STEM and provides tips and advice for Black women in higher education.
