At 10 years old, Max Alexander has become the youngest fashion designer to showcase a collection at Paris Fashion Week.
Alexander debuted the Max Alexander Women’s Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2026-2027 collection March 3 at Paris’ Palais Garnier. The collection, which took about half a year to complete, drew inspiration from florals and emphasized sustainability.
“They were 90% made from sustainable materials and inspired by flowers,” Alexander told People Magazine. “I used deadstock, surplus, recycled bags and biodegradable fabrics.”
His accomplishments
Despite his age, Alexander’s accomplishments reflect years of dedication. Alexander began pursuing his love for fashion at four years old when he learned how to sew and design. He has his own design label, employees and millions of Instagram followers.
In 2023, Alexander became a Guinness World Record holder as the youngest person to design a runway show at seven years old, completing a significant milestone at an extremely young age.
His passion
It all started with a dream. Literally. Alexander told CBS Los Angeles he had a dream he was making a dress. One night at dinner with his family, he shared he was a dress designer.
Sherri Madison, Alexander’s mother, said she was stunned at her son’s drive and passion for fashion.
“He just grabbed some scraps from my studio and started pulling them together and out comes this big dress,” Madison told CBS.
Alexander’s discipline is translating into his commercial success. A recent bag design of his, along with a set of charms, sold out within 24 hours of its release, an early signal his appeal extends far beyond the runway.
“I am trying to save the environment, in very complicated words,” he told CBS.
