Fans dance to Young Thug on Saturday, Sept. 4. While the festival and city both mandated attendees to wear masks, those who complied were few and far between.

After a one-year hiatus, Made in America, Philadelphia’s annual music festival founded by Jay-Z, was back on the Ben Franklin Parkway for Memorial Day weekend. Under the shadow of the coronavirus pandemic, the festival and the city required festival-goers to be either vaccinated, or have a negative COVID-19 test from within 48 hours. The festival mandated that masks be worn while in attendance. PHOTOS: MITCHELL SHIELDS ’22/THE HAWK
